I am disappointed that you only show pictures in a square format. As an artist, most of my work is rectangular and would be distorted if shown in a square format.

  4. craftgawker — April 21, 2009 #

Nancy, when we designed the site we experimented with a non-square format but it presents issues for landscape or portrait shots depending on the dimensions we chose. That's why you see a square image format.

Regarding distortion of the image, we don't distort an image to make it square. We just reduce the image's smallest dimension to 250 pixels and center crop, so your images will not be distorted. The composition will not be ideal compared to your original format, but it won't be distorted.

You can also control your composition by submitting an image re-sized and cropped to 250x250 pixels.

WOW! Amazing work....this is what small artist like me need...we are good at creating our art but we (ateast me) fail to tell the world about it, N' tools like this are helping us focus more on what we can do best and make a living doing it.

Hello:) I have been declined 3 times even though my photos depict exactly what my art looks like. My most recent one I believe the photo was acceptable but I failed to put the proper link to my listing page and instead did my home page. I'm new to this and not sure how to add the link to my listing or where/what that is. Thanks for any help:) April~ Lucas Leaf Creations
